Water Main Rehabiitation Package 4

This Project consists of the following elements of Work: Abandon in-place existing watermains; install new ductile iron watermain pipe, including valving, fire hydrants, and other watermain appurtenances, ranging from 6 inch to 8 inch in diameter by open-trench method: storm & sewer improvements; assist SPU Water Operations with: cut, cap, blocking of existing watermains, temporary and permanent water main connections, and temporary and permanent water services connection transfers; and final surface restoration of roadway and landscaping, including ADA. curb ramp improvements. This Project is a Covered Project subject to the City of Seattle's Community Workforce Agreement (CWA) and Priority Hire SMC 20.37. With the support of the mayor and City Council, the City of Seattle administers programs that support racial and economic equity through contracting, Priority Hire is one of these programs. Priority Hire provides people living in economically distressed communities, women, and people of color access to work on the city's construction projects No Bid will be accepted from any Bidder who does not attend at least 1 ofthe mandatory meetings This Project is located at nine different sites in Seattle and at one site in the City ofShoreline: 1) N 43rd St from Meridian Ave N to Bagley Ave N; 2) E Olive St from 31st Ave E to 32nd Ave; 3) E Spring St from 14th Ave to 16th Ave: 4) E Marion St from 14th Ave to 15th Ave; 5) E Columbia St from 14th Ave to 16th Ave; 6) 57th Ave SW from SW Stevens to SW Winthrop St; and 7) 48th Ave S from S Othello St to S Austin St; 8) S Pearl St from Corson Ave S to 12th Ave S; 9) SW 98th St from 50th Ave SW to 51st Ave SW; and 10) N 148th St from Meridian Ave N to Corliss Ave N (City of Shoreline). For purposes ofthe Inclusion Plan, this is considered a "UNDERGROUND" type of project with a Past Performance of 17% WMBE utilization rates based, on completed projects.
