Description | The project was awarded to LEGRAND JOHNSON CONSTRUCTION * 200 West Street (Center to 200 South) Legrand Johnson Construction amounting $181,174.40 & South main st. (300 South to Route 23) Legrand Johnson Contruction. amounting $69,755.50 (ToTal of $250,929.90) Sealed bids for construction of Men don City's 200 West Street (Center to 200 South) and South Main Street (300 South to State Route 23) Improvement Projects. Please address questions on the project to Eric Dustbuster, P.E., by email at edursteler@forsgren.com Description of Work: The Project generally includes pulverizing existing asphalt surfaces, widening roadway sections in certain locations, constructing stormwater crossings, re-grading and compacting the pulverized materials to proposed roadway grades, profiles, and existing driveways, placing hot mix asphalt thereon, and landscape reparation and restoration commencing from Center Street continuing south on 200 West to 200 South; and, commencing from 300 South to SR-23 on south Main Street; and, all work required therewith to construct the Project complete as to form and function. Bid Security: Bid security, which must be on the Bid Bond form provided with the Construction Documents or on approved Bid Bond documents provided by the Bonding Agency, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, made payable to Mendon City, shall accompany the bid. A certified or cashier's check may be used for the bid bond. Project Administration: All questions relative to this project prior to the opening of bids shall be directed to the Engineer for the project, and all questions shall be in writing. For "or equal" items to be considered for evaluation, Contractor must submit information in compliance with the "Instructions to Bidders." No clarifications or questions will be answered three (3) days prior to bid date. Owner's Rights Reserved: Mendon City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formality or technicality in any bid. Final quantities and project work portions will be dependent upon bids and the final project budgets. |
