Description

1. Remove necessary external piping, equipment, and controls in order to separate sections Separate all boiler sections 2. Clean gasket surfaces and inspect for cracks and steam erosion. Alert City representative to any sections that are not usable and must be replaced. 3. Reassemble with new gaskets and rope per manufacturer’s recommended procedures. 4. Once all sections are assembled plug all ports and openings and perform a hydrostatic test on the assembled sections per manufacturer’s instructions. Repair any leaks that are found. 5. Once assembled sections pass the hydrostatic test, drain boiler and re-assemble all piping, equipment, and controls. 6. Start boiler and bring to normal operating pressure checking for leaks. 7. Test all safety devices and controls. Alert City representative to any that are found to be dysfunctional.
