127EAW23Q0007 - Lighting Front Sign - North Operations Facility Shasta-Trinity National Forest FAR 32.204 Disclosure of Magnitude of the Construction Project: less than $25,000 Set Aside: Total Small Business Set Aside IMPORTANT NOTES: See Section L, Paragraph L.2 for the Documents to Submit with Your Proposal All Requests for Information (RFI's) shall be submitted to the Contract Specialist, Tanya Torres, on the attached RFI form not later than 1300 hours PST, April 6th, 2023. A FS organized site visit will NOT be held. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award SCOPE OF CONTRACT The purpose and intent of this project is to enhance the lighting on the front entrance sign as you approach the North Operations Facility. This project will greatly light up the visibility for traffic to see the sign for the USFS and Cal-Fire location. The placement of wiring will be tapped into the existing lighting with auto on and off at the house on the inside of the base. A walk behind trencher will be used to trench a line from the house of the existing electoral panel to the sign, which is 315 feet away. The contractor shall also remove the existing old conduit and wiring from the site area. See detailed Statement of Work for related work items. The Contractor should refer to the Schedule of Items and Statement of Work when making estimates of quantities or work. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor, tools, material, and equipment necessary to perform all work in strict accordance with National Electrical Code (NEC), also known as NFPA 70, as well as any Federal and/or State electrical code requirements. Payment for contract work will be made only for and under those pay items included in the Schedule of Items. All other work and materials will be considered as incidental to and included in the payment for the items shown. See attachment "1. Statement of Work" for further details. C.2 PROJECT LOCATON 6101 Airport Rd., Redding, CA 96002 Whether traveling North or South on Airport road look for the address signs and totem pole and turn east into the Northern Operations main entrance and towards the compound. At the main gate entrance pedestal, press numbers "000" for access to the compound and from there the Facility Maintenance personnel will show you the location of work. C.4 ESTIMATED START DATE / PoP The estimated start date for this project is 1 May 2023 with a 20 calender day period of performance (PoP) after issuance of Notice to Proceed (NTP).
