Description | Each bid proposal shall include all labor, material, and services necessary to complete the project in strict accordance with the Bid Documents as prepared and on file in the office of Viridian Architectural Design, Inc. Contractors will be allowed one (1) electronic copy set of Bid Documents, which they may retain throughout the bidding. Copies can be produced at the contractor's expense. Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided by the Architect with all blanks filled in. Bid Form and other documents required to be submitted with the Bid shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope with the Bidders name, addressed to Rochester Community School Corporation, and shall be identified as "RCSC Middle School Natatorium Locker Rooms Renovation." Each Bid must be accompanied by a non-collusion affidavit as provided by law. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified Cashier's Check or Financial Surety Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid, made payable to the Rochester Community School Corporation to guarantee the School Corporation against default by such Bidder in complying with the terms of this notice and of its Bid. Bids received after the designated time for closing will be returned unopened. Bids may be withdrawn prior to the designated time, but no bids shall be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days thereafter. The Contract form for the project will be AIA Document A101. See Supplementary Conditions for complete details. Award will be made to the low, responsive, responsible bidder. The low, responsive, responsible bidder must be approved by the Owner and Architect upon review of the bids. All applicable laws, ordinances, and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply to the project throughout. Contractors shall note that this project is subject to the Common Construction Wage Act (effective July 1, 2015) for record keeping and all terms of this Act shall be followed in their entirety. Contractors shall note that this project will require the inclusion of a 100% Performance Bond as part of their bid. Each bidder is responsible for inspecting the Project site and for reading and being thoroughly familiar with the Contract Documents and Specifications. The failure of omission of any Bidder to do any of the foregoing shall in no way relieve any Bidder from any obligation with respect to their Bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. |
