Description | As of November 30, 2022, no bids received. No definite date for the rebid. The City reserves the right to reject all bids. The winning bidder will be the lowest and best bid. The wading pool continues to lose water. The bidder shall fix the leaks in the wading pool plumbing by removing concrete around the wading pool and replacing all the plumbing. The bidder shall also re-plaster the wading pool. Specifications required by the City of Douglass Hills, Kentucky for the person, firm or corporation receiving any contract to perform services for the City: The successful Contractor agrees to the following 1) Wading Pool Renovation- Scope of work, includes: a. Wading pool is leaking and must be replumbed and at the same time the pool must be replastered: 1. Wading pool replumbing requires concrete demolition and renovation for new return, skimmer, vacuum and drain lines. 2. Saw cut around the entire perimeter of the wading pool. 3. Jackhammer and remove the concrete in the saw cut area. 4. Excavate down to create the necessary depth to prepare for new plumbing lines. 5. Install new schedule 40 PVC return, skimmer, and vacuum lines. 6. Saw cut the wading pool floor to prepare for the installation of a new main drain system. 7. Jackhammer and remove the concrete in this saw cut area of the pool floor (approximately 100 square feet) 8. Install four (4) new 12" x 12" main drain sumps, frames, and grates (per health department requirements). 9. Saw cut a trench from the wading pool to the pump room (approximately 50'). 10. Jackhammer and remove concrete in saw cut area for the trench. 11. Trench between the two saw cut concrete areas in the trench. 12. Core drill through the wading pool equipment room wall. 13. Run new return, skimmer, vacuum, and main drain lines from the wading pool, in this trench, to the equipment room, and connect the new lines to the existing equipment. 14. Pressure-test all new lines to ensure they are holding pressure. 15. The re-pouring of concrete in all areas excavated will be done by others under separate contact. 16. Re-Plaster Pool Surface, including: i. Demolition of existing pool surface to remove damaged/ delaminated areas. ii. Chip out around light niches, returns, gutters and main drains. iii. Removal of all debris. iv. Prepare existing surface for new plaster. v. Apply appropriate bond coat for proper adhesion of plaster. vi. Replaster pool. b. Provide a two (2) year written warranty covering against any defects in material and labor. The contractor will be on the premises to address warranty claims within 24 hours of notification and schedule the repairs to suit the City's schedule. c. The contractor shall comply with any applicable regulations for public pools for all its work and shall have its plans reviewed and approved prior to installation by the Jefferson County Health Department and any other agency with regulatory authority. |
