Description | The City of Janesville, Wisconsin hereby gives notice that it will receive electronic bids for the following listed Public Work: C2022-15 EPDM Roof Replacement - WWTP Solids Processing Building and Janesville Riverside Golf Course Clubhouse: For furnishing all the labor, materials, equipment, and doing all the work necessary to replace the existing single ply fully adhered EPDM roof system. The Solids Processing Building has two roof levels totaling approximately 18,300 square feet is size. The existing roof is a fully adhered EPDM roof on a tapered iso insulation system and is to be completely removed down to the existing precast concrete deck surface. The new roof system to be installed is a fully adhered EPDM membrane on a tapered iso insulation system on a new vapor barrier. Project scope includes cleaning, sealing, and caulking of the precast mansard panels. The Golf Course Clubhouse is approximately 5,200 square feet in size. The existing roof is a combination of a ballasted and fully adhered EPDM and iso insulation on a tectum deck and is to be completely removed. The new roof system to be installed is a fully adhered EPDM membrane on an iso insulation system. All bidders shall bid in accordance with contract documents Section 2 Information to Bidders. The above Public Work will be let to the lowest responsible bidder and must be performed in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contracts on file with the City Clerk. The determination of the lowest responsible and best bid will be decided by the City Engineer, subject to review by the City Council. The Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check equal to 10 percent of the bid or a bid bond in equal amount, payable to the City as guaranty that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and performance bond within ten days from the date the lowest responsible bidders bid is accepted. In case the bidder fails to execute such contract and performance bond within the time set by the City, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. If applicable, Federal Davis Bacon wage rates are included in the Contract Documents, as well as on file in the City Clerks Office. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 45 days after the actual date of the bid opening. |
