Wheelock Park Campground Demolition Project

The City Keene is seeking bids for demolition and construction work to prepare the former Wheelock campground for new park facilities including a dog park and disc golf course. All Contractors are strongly encouraged to inspect the work area prior to bidding and to examine the site photographs that are included in the specifications. Prepare former Wheelock Park Campground for future facilities including a dog park and disc golf course. Decommission electric service from bath building to utility pole (to remain). +/- 80 L.F. overhead wire Demolish & remove bath building and meter shed 25'L x 20'W x 8-12'H CMU block structure with 4.7' X 5.7' privacy walls Meter shed 6'L x 2.3'W x 3.6' H wood framed, plywood sided enclosure Include removal of all foundations, slabs, meter pits, underground utilities to two feet below finished grade. Abandon septic tank Pump & haul effluent. Historic service records average 4,800 gallons, max. 5,300 gal. Demolish tank two feet below grade, fracture bottom of tank. Backfill tank with gravel compacted in lifts. Fill and grade all areas of removed buildings and infrastructure to match existing ground.
