South Virginia Park Project A Unit Price Contract Scope of Work: This project is to construct a New Park in an existing Vacant Lot. It Consists of some Removals of existing trees and Chain Link fence, Grading existing natural ground down to finished grade, Unclassified Excavation of existing 6 soil and replace with 6 of Borrow material. New Concrete Fillets and new Wheel Chair Ramps, New Concrete Sidewalk, New Curb and Gutter, New Electric Power Pole with new Meter, Electrical Conduit and Wiring, Electric Service panel, New Irrigation System with Irrigation Control Cabinet and Controller, 4 Backflow Preventer and Hot Box, A SWPPP plan and Maintenance, Grass Seeding, and Construction Staking by the Contractor. Bid packages mailed, or otherwise hand or courier delivered prior to the point of opening must contain two original copies of the bid proposal and the following must be written on the bottom left corner of the EXTERIOR of the SEALED PACKAGE, MAILER BOX. EMAIL: l.najar@roswell-nm.gov Bidders shall thoroughly examine and be familiar with the Plans and Specifications and any federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations that may in any manner affect cost, progress, or performance of the work. The failure or omission of any Bidder to receive or examine any form, instrument, addendum, or other document or to visit the site and acquaint himself with conditions there existing shall in no way relieve any Bidder from obligations with respect to his bid or the Contract. The submission of a bid shall be taken as prima facie evidence of compliance with this section. All bids received are subject to approval of the City Council at the next regularly scheduled meeting. LOCATION AND EXTENT OF WORK: The project is located on Sonth Virginia Ave. South of Poe Street and in between Keith Drive and Onyx Drive. The new Park Site is a vacant Lo1t where Chisum Elementary School used to be located. It will require some removals of existing Trees, Chain Link Fence and Concrete Sidewalk and Curb & Gutter. New Concrete Fillets with New Wheel Chair Ramps and Sidewalk shall be placed. New Curb & Gutter that will border a Future Parking Lot is to be placed. The whole site will require Grading down to Finished Grade Elevation and the area that will require a new' Irrigation System will have to have the existing 6" of natural soil removed and place 6" of new Top Soil in place. A complete new Irrigation System will need to be installed. A new Electric Pow'er pole w7 meter along with electric conduit and wiring to a Electric Service panel will need to be installed. An Irrigation Control Cabinet and controller will need to be installed and wired up to electricity. A 4" Backflow Preventer and Hot Box will also be required. A SWPPP plan will need to be submitted and maintained during Project. Grass Seeding will be done also in the Irrigated area of the new Park. Construction Staking by the Contractor will also be required. There is an area for a new' Playground Equipment in the park but the playground equipment and installation are not part of this project and will be done by others.
