Description | Reference Number 0000331101 The Colorado School of Mines (Mines) is proposing an adaptive reuse (or possibly new construction) project to transform the main campus quad. The existing Chauvenet Hall (located at Illinois St. and 14th St.) will be converted to a Dining Hall and Student Services Building. The program will include Dining, Study, and Student Service space and may include Academic and Lab spaces all totaling approximately 38,000 GSF. The construction budget for this project is $37.5 million. Mines seeks a collaborative partner to participate and offer insight from the Schematic Design phase through Construction. Mines anticipates using a Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) approach to project delivery. A Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) and an updated project duration schedule will be established by the Architect/Engineer and the Construction Manager/General Contractor in conjunction with the Colorado School of Mines. The CM/GC will evaluate, among other things, availability of materials and labor, project schedule, project costs as they relate to the established budget, constructability, and will work closely with the Architect/Engineer and the Colorado School of Mines throughout the planning, design, and construction phases of the project.
