Newport Grammar School Partial Roof Replacement - Phase III

Primary Building (Roof Area “A”,“B”,“C”, & “D”) and Gymnasium Stage (Roof Area “F”)(Approximately 40,553 SF):The work shall include the removal of the existing EPDM membrane roof to the existing roof insulation substrate (salvage existing insulation) and overlaying the existing insulation substrate with a new high density insulation coverboard. The roof insulation assembly is to be mechanically attached to the existing steel decking and the new roof system shall be a 20-year fully adhered .060" EPDM roof membrane system including roof accessories and miscellaneous sheet metal fabrications. Existing coping and overflow scuppers shall be salvaged and be reused in the new roof system. Additional work includes painting of rooftop equipment and refurbishment of existing roof drain bowls/strainers as indicated on the drawings. Gymnasium(Roof Area “E”) (Approximately 10,050 SF):The work shall include the removal of the existing EPDM membrane roof system to the existing roof deck and replacement thereof with a 20-year fully adhered .060" EPDM roof membrane system with tapered insulation, coverboards, roof crickets, roof accessories, and miscellaneous sheet metal fabrications. Existing coping and overflow scuppers shall be salvaged and be reused in the new roof system. Additional work includes painting of rooftop equipment and refurbishment of existing roof drain bowls/strainers as indicated on the drawings.
