| Description | This sale is an operator select second thinning of approximately 123 acres of 33-year-old planted slash pine on Jennings State Forest (SFI Certified Forest #NSF-SFI-FM-C0245755) in Clay County, Florida. Timber to be removed includes diseased, forked or suppressed as well as a portion of the intermediate and co-dominate trees to leave a residual basal area of 60-70 square feet per acre. Existing skid trail and loading decks should be reused. The Forester-In-Charge must approve any new skid trails and logging decks. Sale boundaries are roads, fire lines, wetlands or obvious timber type changes. The estimated volume to be cut is 1,328 tons of pulpwood and 3,168 tons of chip-n-saw and better. This will be a twelve (12) month contract. |
