Combined Sewer Overflow 22 Slide Gate Installation

Performing sewer collection system modifications to add a slide gate to a combined sewer overflow (CSO) overflow pipe. The Project includes design and installation of an aluminum or stainless-steel slide gate with a 2 inch operating nut. The intent of the project is to place a slide gate over the 27 inch CSO outlet pipe so that it can be closed with the ability to re-open if needed. The slide gate mist be able to be operated by a 2 inch operating nut using a regular 2 inch valve wrench. It is required to be operated at the street level not requiring a confined space entry and, if using a rising stem, the stem must not be above the surface of the street when opened fully. A gate valve box will be installed for access to the operating nut. The top of the existing structure will need to be cored to allow this access.
