Description | For Electrical Upgrades Bids received after this time will be returned unopened. Bids shall be valid for 60 calendar days after the bid opening date. Bid Security: As security for its Bid, each bidder shall provide with its Proposal: a bid bond issued by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the District; or a cashier's check or a certified check made payable to the District in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Amount. Failure of any Bid Proposal to be accompanied by Bid Security in the form and in the amount required shall render such Bid Proposal to be non-responsive and rejected by the District. This bid security shall be a guarantee that the Bidder shall, within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the Notice of Award, enter into a contract with the District for the performance of the services as stipulated herein. Payment and Performance Bond: The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Project. Prevailing Wage Rates: The successful Bidder and its subcontractors shall pay all workers on the Project not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California, for the type of work performed and the locality in which the work is to be performed within the boundaries of the District, pursuant to sections 1770 et seq. of the California Labor Code. Prevailing wage rates are available at:Bidders and Bidderssubcontractors shall comply with the registration and qualification requirements pursuant to sections 1725.5 and 1771.1 of the California Labor Code Award of Contract: The District shall award the Contract for the Project to the lowest responsible bidder. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process Inquiries and Clarifications: This document is for informational purposes and shall not relieve bidders of the requirements to fully become familiarized with all the factors affecting the Proposal. All inquiries concerning this document should be directed in writing via email to Jeff Pitt Director of Maintenance & Operations at jpitt@rsf.k12.ca.us by no later than 2PM on June 24, 2022. After this deadline, the District will not answer, address, and/or review any questions interested Contractor might submit. Responses to all questions received prior to the deadline will be provided to all Contractor as specified in the Bid Package |
