Description Project work is located 1 mile south of Bakers Haulover Inlet in the town of Surfside, Florida between DEP Monuments R-31 to R-36. Project work will consist of renourishing critically eroded shoreline along the town of Surfside. The project beach has a maximum berm elevation of +6.6 feet, NAVD88, and a minimum berm elevation no less than +6.1 feet, NAVD88. The Construction Baseline (CBL) and Erosion Control Line (ECL) are the same and the width of the berm crest is 120 feet measured perpendicular to the CBL/ECL as shown on the drawings. The berm will then transition to a sloped push berm of 1V:60H slope by 120 feet before a foreshore slope of 1 Vertical on 10 Horizontal to tie into existing grade. The sand source for the project will be an upland source, and material will be truck hauled to the project location. The upland source will be selected by the Contractor meeting criteria required in contract specifications. Upland sand sources which have met criteria specified in the contract specifications will be noted in the same specifications. Other sources may be available. Project work also includes turbidity monitoring and endangered species monitoring.
