Description

As of August 25, 2022, project was awarded to One Way Striping & Signs, awarded amount is $48,970.55. It shall be each bidder's sole responsibility to inspect the site of the work and to inform himself regarding all local conditions under which the work is to be done. It shall be understood and agreed that all factors have been thoroughly investigated and considered in the preparation of the bid submitted. All bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's certified check upon a national or state bank in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price payable without recourse to the City of Texas City, Texas, or a bid bond in the same amount from a reliable surety company, as a guarantee that bidder will enter into a Contract. Attention is called to the fact that less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Rural Affairs and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, age or national origin. Upon consideration of the proposals the CityCommission plans to award a contract; however the City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all formalities and technicalities, and to accept any bid which deems advantageous to the City. Each bidder agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Owner, the Engineer, and their respective employees, arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation or recommendation of any bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond in the amount of 100 % of the total contract price.
