Description | This is the 2022 Traffic Signal Upgrade Mill Levy Package #15A. The overall objective of this project is reconstruction of the traffic signals and intersections of one major corridor within the City and County of Denver 8th Avenue. There are a total of ten (10) traffic signals in this project and the locations of these traffic signal upgrades are at the following intersections: 1. 8th & Grant, 2. 8th & Logan, 3. 8th & Washington, 4. 8th & Clarkson, 5. 8th & Corona, 6. 8th & Downing, 7. 8th & Williams/High [MB], 8. 8th & York, 9. 8th & Josephine, 10. 8th & Clayton/Detroit [MB]. In addition to the traffic signal upgrades, there will be improvements made to curb ramps, sidewalk, curb and gutters, curb returns, and damaged sidewalks, and curb and gutter at each intersection for enhanced pedestrian access. Ramp improvements will be constructed to current CCD standards and specifications. In addition, there are existing storm sewer inlets and manholes at the intersections requiring relocation or resetting. Estimated Construction Cost: Between $2,250,000.00 and $2,700,000.00 Prequalification Requirements: 1D(1) Traffic Signals, Lighting and ITS at or above the $3,000,000.00 monetary level. MWBE Participation: 17% Prevailing Wage and Minimum Wage: Contracts for construction, reconstruction, and remodeling are subject to the City prevailing wage rate requirements established pursuant to Section 20-76, D.R.M.C. City contracts are subject to payment of City Minimum Wage established pursuant to Section 20-82 through 20-84 D.R.M.C. As the Citys best interests may appear, the Executive Director of the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure reserves the right to waive informalities in, and to reject any or all, submittals. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
