| Description | The objectives of this study were to gather information on subsurface conditions at the site and to provide design and construction considerations for the duct banks installation. The objectives were accomplished by: 1. Drilling two soil borings to a depth of 40 to 50 feet below the existing grade to investigate soil stratigraphy and to obtain samples for laboratory testing. 2. Installing one piezometer to gain an understanding of the groundwater conditions. 3. Performing laboratory tests to determine physical and engineering characteristics of the soils. 4. Performing engineering analyses to develop design and construction recommendations. 5. This project will construct and install electrical and telecommunication bore under Port Road and ExxonMobil corridor to energize Container Yard 6 and 7 at Bayport Container Terminal. |
