Manufacturing of Commercial Style Transit Shelters

All Shelters shall be fabricated using only industry-recognized first quality materials. Acceptable materials and finishes are those that are proven to minimize maintenance and provide maximum weather and vandal resistance. Shelters and accessory components are to be designed and constructed so that they shall enhance the adjacent surroundings. The selection of the most attractive and effective designs shall be solely at the discretion of LYNX. All Shelters shall be factory prefabricated with an aluminum framework. The roof frame, with its roof panels and a solar powered lighting system, shall be supported by a rear wall panel and two end frame support sections with an open front. Two shelter sizes are required, and each shelter size shall be designed with and without an advertising kiosk. For the advertising Shelters, a back-to-back advertising display kiosk mounted on the left side (when facing the shelter) shall be included in the design, replacing the end frame support of the non-advertising version. All Shelters shall be lit using UL listed solar lighting units. The non-advertising Shelters shall receive a security light mounted in the top, center of the roof. The advertising Shelters shall receive both a security light, like the non-advertising Shelters, and shall also have lighting inside of the advertising panel. These solar lighting units shall operate from dusk to dawn, and there shall be no dimming of the lights over the course of the night. Solar lighting units shall have the capability to function for at least 5 days with no solar charging.
