Description

1) Relocate approximately 200 cubic yards of stone from two derelict stone groins in the south end of Essex anchorage near Thatchbed Island and deposit in two 100 long piles that intersect forming a V as marked by white PVC pipes. The western tip of the structure commencing at one foot (1) below mean low water (MLW). 2) Collect and position floating trees and logs from the Connecticut River and stake them in place along the southern 1,200 foot stretch of the eastern shore of Thatchbed Island just below the MLW with timber piles, to be installed using a barge-mounted crane and hydraulic hammer. At this point, it is not known how many trees will be captured and anchored to Thatchbed Island. Respondents should provide a per-tree cost.
