Description

Contract 1 - General Construction Contract 2 - Mechanical Contract 3 - Electrical Contract 4 - Fire Suppression General Construction GC to remove existing window and louver for 2 new duct openings roughly 30” x 16”. GC to coordinate with MC for installation of new wall hung packaged units. GC to provide CMU infill and lintels as needed for a completely sealed wall. Coordination with MC required to secure the building at the end of each shift. GC to patch and repair removed gas and electrical opening through existing wall at removed services to include Unistrut mounting locations. GC to re-insulate and provide patch at interior, repair to be weather tight. GC to patch and repair 2’ x 2’ openings through existing wall at removed ductwork from removed RTU unit. Re-insulate and provide patch at interior to be weather tight. GC to coordinate with owner for the proper protection and possible relocation of existing storage boxes to avoid construction area. Mechanical MC to disconnect, evacuate old refrigerant (Per EPA and OSHA standards), and remove existing 6-ton RTU unit. MC to disconnect and remove existing duct work to a point of clean connection for new unit duct work. MC to install new 5-ton wall hung unit. MC to utilize existing window and louver. Coordinate with GC as needed for CMU infill and lintels as needed. MC to anchor unit and back CMU with steel as needed for structurally sound installation. Provide independently mounted heavy gauge sheet metal snow break above unit to protect from falling snow. Attach with galvanized Unistrut framing. Provide ½” gas to wall hung units. Provide dirt leg, gas cock, union, and paint rustolium black. MC to provide new transition and duct work to point of existing connection. MC to ensure existing duct work is sealed and leak free. MC to provide air balance reports as needed. For Refrigerant Recovery: Work to be done by a certified EPA-approved contracting firm. Comply with hauling and disposal regulations of authorities having jurisdiction. All removal and disposal shall comply with EPA regulations, OSHA regulations, and any local/state regulations. Electrical EC to disconnect and remove existing feed from ground mounted RTU EC to provide new external disconnect and power feed to new 5-Ton Wall hung HVAC unit. EC can utilize existing panel location from old RTU. EC to coordinate installation with MC.
