Highway Department Supplies and Services for 2023

Bid Package Number 1. Thirty-four Thousand (34,000) gallons more or less of regular unleaded gasoline, (to be not less than 87 Octane) and Twenty-two Thousand Five Hundred (22,500) gallons more or less of High Sulfur (off-road) Diesel Fuel, number two (2), and Twenty-two Thousand Five Hundred (22,500) gallons more or less of Ultra- Low Sulfur (on-road) diesel fuel all delivered by transport loads. Bid Package Number 2. Forty Thousand (40,000) tons more or less of Class A crushed limestone rock or equivalent as ordered by the Commissioners. F.O.B. quarry, yard or delivered to the Spencer County Highway Department yard or to a township specified by the Spencer County Highway Superintendent. Bid Package Number 3. Ten Thousand (10,000) tons more or less, washed clean gravel or crushed and graded gravel as ordered by the Commissioners. F.O.B. quarry or yard. Bid Package Number 4. Liquid Bituminous Material and Two Thousand Two Hundred (2,200) tons more or less of Bituminous Concrete Mixtures. Bid Package Number 5. Eighty Thousand (80,000) gallons more or less of AEP Prime delivered by transport loads. Two Hundred Thousand (200,000) gallons more or less of AE 90, and/or AE 150 delivered by transport loads. Bid Package Number 6. Four Thousand (4,000) feet more or less of pipe from 15 inches to 96 inches in diameter, and Five Hundred (500) feet more or less of structural plate and arch pipe in all sizes, delivered to job site. Bid Package Number 7. Bridge can be concrete or steel. All steel bridge materials must be designed in accordance with current HS20-44 loading and be designed by a professional engineer registered in the state of Indiana Bid Package Number 8. Ready-mix concrete- Class A, B and C, to meet INDOT Standard Specification, Section 702. 1,500 cubic yards or less. Bid Package Number 9. Contractor pricing for services offered per hour, mobilization and any other charges for any or all of the following but not limited to: ditching, trenching, tree removal, culverts and trucking. Each Bid Package must be submitted on a separate bid form and in a separate sealed envelope. Each Bid Package must be accompanied by a non-collusion affidavit. Each bidder is to submit his/her bid on County Form 95, "Bid, Offer or Proposal for Purchase of Supplies". The Spencer County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities in bidding, or to award any bid that is in conformity with the Spencer County purchasing rules and that is most advantageous to Spencer County. Bid packages will be on file at the Spencer County Auditor's Office.
