Description

HVAC contractors for the complete removal and replacement of a 10-ton Air Handler Unit and a 10-ton Heat Pump. • Completely remove existing 10-ton York Air Handler Unit located in basement of Station • Completely remove existing 10-ton York Heat Pump located outside of Station in fenced area. • Reclaim all R-22 Refrigerant in system per EPA guidelines. • Flush and evacuate existing refrigeration lines per York specifications. • Remove and re-install exhaust fan fastened to existing air handler unit. • Remove p-traps as required by York. • Remove Electric Heat Unit fastened to air handler unit. • Provide and install new York, 10-ton Split System R-410A Condensing Unit, two stage cooling (see specifications on Page 8). • Provide and install new York, 10-ton R-410A Air Handler Unit equipped with New Electric Heat Unit (see specifications on Page 8). • New Electric Heat Unit shall be same Kilowatt rating as existing. • Charge unit with refrigerant per manufacturer’s specifications • Contractor to pressure test new equipment to ensure that no leaks exist. • Existing refrigeration lines to be used. • Contractor to provide all labor and material involved with executing this scope of work including but not limited to: electrical connections, mechanical, sheet-metal manufacturing, brazing, hoisting and craning, and debris removal. • Work will likely require custom ductwork • Contractor to provide start-up services on equipment provided. • Contractor will verify proper operation of equipment and appurtenances. • Existing Electrical Disconnects and breakers to be re-used. • All existing equipment is electrically rated for 480 Volts A/C, three-phase, 60 Hertz. • All new equipment shall be electrically rated for 480 Volts A/C, three-phase, 60 Hertz. • Village-owned onsite crane may be used to lift and lower equipment to basement. • Debris and removed equipment shall be hauled away by contractor • Work shall be completed within a timely fashion. • All applicable Illinois Department of Labor Laws, Occupational Safety and Health Administration Guidelines, and electrical, plumbing, mechanical and building codes shall be followed. • Compliance with Prevailing Wages laws • Contractor must possess and maintain an Illinois Secretary of State Certificate of Good Standing for the duration of this project • Bid shall describe applicable warranties from either manufacturer or contractor • Work site is located next to a Park District of Oak Park public playground, successful contractor will be required to procure and maintain liability insurance with the Park District as a separate holder
