Description | Road Rights-Of-Way (ROW): 1. Work within the Township’s rights-of-way (ROW) all takedowns will be marked on the roadway in the area of the tree(s). 2. Chip all small branches and limbs, cleanup and remove all brush, tree limbs, branches and trunks from the job sites. 3. All “takedown” trees shall be cut flush to ground level. 4. All wood and chips, shall become the property of the successful bidder upon pruning and, or takedown. Traffic Signal Selective Tree Pruning: 1. Selective tree pruning is work that will be completed within the roads rights-of-way (ROW) and all trees to be trimming will be marked on the roadway in the area of the tree(s). All marked tree are trimmed up to a minimum height of twenty (20) feet measured from the roadway surface. 2. Chip all small branches and limbs, cleanup and remove all brush, tree limbs, and from the job sites. 3. All wood and chips, shall become the property of the successful bidder upon pruning Parks, Open Spaces and Trails: 1. Work within the Township’s, parks, open space and trails all takedowns will be marked with white dots or on the trail nearby to mark each tree. 2. Trees to be deadwooded are not marked. 3. Trees are to be pieced down to minimize damage to surrounding trees, turf, and bituminous trails/roadways. 4. ? All brush should be chipped or removed. 5. All wood, brush, and debris must be removed from the site or moved beyond 20 feet of any turf or bituminous trail. 6. Care should be taken to limit damage to surrounding trees as best as possible. Broken or hanging limbs to surrounding trees as a result of dropping must be removed. 7. Trees can be dropped into the surrounding woods where appropriate and cut up to lay flat. 8. Successful contractor may take wood; if wood is left it must be cut in lengths not exceeding eighteen (18”) inches and kept off turf, trails, and or within the work area. 9. Dropping trees into any creek, stream, pipe crossing or drainage area is not permitted, and any wood, brush, or debris landing in these areas must be removed. |
