Description

The Project generally involves the construction of water transmission mains in Alviso on Hope Street, El Dorado Street, Gold Street, Elizabeth Street, Catherine Street, and Taylor Street to improve system reliability. The scope of work for this project includes 5,225 feet new installation of 6-inch, 8-inch, and 12-inch Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP) potable water mains to replace existing asbestos cement pipe in the Alviso area. The locations at Elizabeth Street, Catherine Street, and Taylor Street require water mains to be installed below the Union Pacific Railroad lines by utilizing Jack-and-Bore methodology of main installation.
