Description

This project consists of replacing a portion of the existing gravel parking lot at the Genola Public Safety Building located at 455 North Main Street with ADA-compliant pavement, sidewalk, and parking stalls. Approximately 15,000 square feet will be graded with road base and paved with asphalt. This will provide 16 parking spots along the north and east sides of the building. About 100 feet of sidewalk will be installed for easier access into the building from the 4 handicapped spots. An additional 8,500 square feet behind the building will be graded with road base. A concrete trim edge will be added along the interfaces between the grass and either the asphalt of the parking lot or the gravel behind the building. A shallow drainage swale consisting of native vegetation on the back edge of the property will be used to manage storm water runoff from the pavement.
