Description | This project consists of the new construction of the Fuquay-Varina High School for Wake County Public Schools constructed on the existing Fuquay-Varina High School site, located at 201 Bengal Blvd., Fuquay-Varina, NC. On-site and off-site construction shall consist of Grading, Storm Drainage, Utilities, Site Improvements, Paving, Landscaping, and Fencing. The building is a 380,000 sf, 4-story high school with shallow CIP concrete foundations, structural steel and load-bearing masonry structure with brick veneer. The building envelope primarily consists of brick veneer on CMU masonry backup with insulation, or brick veneer on metal stud backup with insulation and Mod bit roofing over lightweight insulation concrete system. Typical building interiors include CMU partitions, GWB partitions and assemblies, Acoustical Ceilings, PLAM Casework, Painting, Flooring, and Building Specialties. The following items are being considered for this project: Door hardware, including panic devices, door closers, strikes, exit devices, locks and cylinders, closers and power door operators/access control equipment; food service equipment, security equipment, including intrusion detection/burglar alarm panels and associated hardware, digital video recorders, security cameras and accessories; building automation control systems, lighting dimmers and control boards, fire alarm system equipment, intercom system and elevators.
