Description | The County of Calaveras will receive sealed bids for the Electrical Service Replacement for the Calaveras County Government Center located at 891 Mountain Ranch Road, San Andreas, CA 95249. The project, generally described, includes furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for: Trenching and installation of new underground conduits, wiring and electrical equipment as shown on electrical plans. Demolition and removal of existing electrical equipment after successful completion of new electrical power infrastructure and PG&E installations to support the new main electrical service and power transfer. Patching and repair to existing paving as required at trenching locations. Provision of temporary electrical power generation to support on-going use of affected buildings during construction. Coordination with PG&E and local electric power authority (CCPA). Cut into existing building exteriors as required for new electrical connections. Install underground utilities for future electric vehicle charging stations. The Invitation to Bid is available through www.publicpurchse.com within the section dedicated to the solicitation under the agency of County of Calaveras. Bidders shall present inquiries to the County through the Public Purchase website using the Questions feature. All responses, if any, from the County to bidder's inquiries will be issued as answers within the Questions feature. The estimated cost of contract work is $600,000.00 QUESTIONS: Questions will be accepted in writing only via publicpurchase.com, until 4:00 PM, FEBRUARY 27, 2023 Answers to questions deemed relevant and appropriate will be posted to publicpurchase.com on or about MARCH 1, 2023. Bidders shall be properly licensed to perform the Work pursuant to Contractors' Sate License Law (Business and Profession Code Section 7000 et seq.) and the prime Contractor shall posses a valid California Class C10 - Electrical Contractor, Contractor license which constitutes a majority of the Work and shall maintain a valid license through completion and acceptance of the Work, including the guarantee and acceptance period. Failure of the successful Bidder to obtain proper adequate licensing and certification(s) at the time of contract award shall constitute failure to execute the Contract and shall result in the forfeiture of the Bidders security and may result in legal penalties. All subcontractors, if any, must be properly licensed by the State of California to perform specialized trades. The general prevailing wage rates in the county, or counties, in which the work is to be done have been determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations and are available from the California Department of Industrial Relations. Complete the work within a total of 271 working days beginning from the date specified on the County's Notice to Proceed. |
