Description | The City of Milwaukie (City) is seeking proposals from qualified parties interested in purchasing (or leasing) the historic city hall building, located at the corner of Main and Harrison in Milwaukie, Oregon, with the intent of establishing a new use for this gateway location. This property is currently owned by the City. Potential applicants/buyers are invited to submit a proposal outlining their proposed tenant(s) and programming for the property, as well as their renovation and maintenance experience with similar historic buildings. This solicitation is anticipated to lead to direct negotiations for sale (or lease) of the property with the selected applicant. Solicitation packet and submittal requirements may be downloaded using the document links below. All questions and clarifications for this solicitation must be addressed through this Bid Management System. It is the applicant's responsibility to verify that the proposal was received by the City before the deadline. Delays due to email delivery, including, but not limited to delays within the City's internal distribution systems, do not excuse the applicant's responsibility for submitting the proposal to the correct location (and confirming receipt) by the deadline. There will be no formal opening. Proposals received after the stated deadline date and time will not be considered. Applicants are required to certify non-discrimination in employment practices in accordance with Oregon Revised Statute (ORS) 279A.110(4), and identify resident status as defined in ORS 279A.120(1). Pre-qualification of applicant is not required. All applicants are required to comply with the provisions of ORS and this solicitation. The City reserves the right (1) to reject any or all proposals not in compliance with this solicitation, 2) to postpone award of the sale for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days from date of proposal opening, (3) to waive informalities in the proposals, and (4) to select the proposal which appears to be in the best interest of the City. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time. |
