Description | **As of May 6, 2022. The Project has been canceled. There is no definite date for the rebid.** 1. Provide and install new Evapco cooling tower model # ESD-102-45J or Equivalent. 2. Provide all piping connections and insulation required for installation. 3. Provide electrical all connections. 4. Protect all grounds and grass in this area, this is near front door of college. 5. Provide all control wiring to tie in Build Automation System for cooling tower. Note : Manufacturer's name and model/catalog numbers used are for the purpose of identification and to establish quality level desired. Such references are not intended to be restrictive and comparable products of other manufacturer will be considered. However, Vendors are cautioned that all equipment items must be both quality and functionally equivalent to the equipment listed in the "Scope of Work". All wiring all plumbing all electrical related to this work is required. The vendor is responsible for keeping all rooms protected from damage from dust, water etc. All new equipment is to tie into existing BMS. The vendor responsible for all dump fee's and dumpster costs. Mandatory site visit to bid any or all work. Once the sign-in process is complete, all other persons wishing to attend may do so to the extent that space and circumstances allow. The purpose of this visit is for all prospective Vendors to apprise themselves with the conditions and requirements which will affect the performance of the work called for by this Invitation for Bid. Vendors shall stay for the duration of the site visit. No allowances will be made for unreported conditions that a prudent Vendor would recognize as affecting the work called for or implied by this bid. Vendors are cautioned that any information released to attendees during the site visit, other than that involving the physical aspects of the facility referenced above, and which conflicts with, supersedes, or adds to requirements in this Invitation for Bid, must be confirmed by written addendum before it can be considered to be a part of this bid. QUESTIONS All questions from bidders must be received by no later than 2:00 PM EST, on Friday, April 8th, 2022. The questions shall be emailed to ashleyl@clevelandcc.edu. The subject line should read "Questions 89-20220330D". All questions will be answered as soon as possible by the college and posted as an addendum to this solicitation. Contractors are hereby notified that they must have proper license under the State laws governing their respective trades and that North Carolina General Statute 87 will be observed in receiving and awarding contracts. No bid may be withdrawn after the opening of bids for a period of 30 days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities. Bids shall be made only on the BID/ACEPTANCE form provided herein with all blank spaces for bids properly filled in and all signatures properly executed. Along with the BID/ACCEPTANCE FORM and itemized sheet listing the make, model and general specifications for each piece of equipment to be used to satisfy the "scope of work" of this solicitation document must be included. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cash deposit or a certified check drawn on some bank or trust company, insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, of an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal, or in lieu thereof a bidder may offer a bid bond of five percent (5%) of the bid executed by a surety company licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond. Said deposit shall be retained by the owner as liquidated damages in event of failure of the successful bidder to execute the contract within ten days after the award or to give satisfactory surety as required by law.
