Public Operations Cooling Tower Replacement Project Year 2023

As of March 15, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, drawn upon a National or State Bank or Trust Company, to the order of the Town of Colonie, New York, or a bond with sufficient sureties in a penal sum equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, conditioned that if his bid is accepted, successful bidder will enter into a contract for the same and that he will execute such further security as may be required for the performance of the contract. A separate Performance and Payment Bond, or its equivalent, each equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount may be required of the successful bidder, and the bonds shall be satisfactory to the Town Board and the Town Attorney. The bidder to whom the contract may be awarded shall within seven (7) days after the date of notification of the acceptance of his proposal, provide insurance and security as required by the Contract in a form acceptable by the Owner. In case of his failure to do so, or in case of his failure to give further security as herein prescribed, the bidder will be considered as having abandoned the same and the certified check or other bid security accompanying his proposal shall be forfeited to the Town. The Town Board of the Town of Colonie reserves the right to waive any informalities in or to reject any or all bids submitted.
