Description | Sealed proposals, addressed to the City of Portland, Texas (Owner) for the PUBLIC WORKS AREA ACCESS DRIVE AND PARKING LOTS work consists of expanding the existing facility to accommodate a new citizen collection station, bulk material storage area, equipment wash facility and parking lot for the future streets, parks, and signs building. Improvements consist of removing the existing surface, re-grading the area and placing approximately 47,060 SF of new concrete surface, including retaining walls, waterline connections, underground storm drainage system and wastewater connection for the equipment wash facility, pavement striping/markings & signage throughout the project and all related appurtenances. All work shall be completed in accordance with the construction plans, specifications, and contract documents. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the highest amount bid must accompany each proposal. Failure to provide the bid bond will constitute a non-responsive proposal which will not be considered. Failure to provide required performance and payment bonds for contracts over $25,000.00 will result in forfeiture of the 5% bid bond to the City as liquidated damages .
