Description

The project site is located at the Wexner Medical Center, Doan Hall at 410 West 10th Avenue. The project will focus on expansion of the loading dock, and internal reconfiguration of the adjacent spaces. The project shall align the sequencing of the work through a detailed design of short-term dock operation. The project goal is to develop a dock design that is forward thinking with configurations that will support ongoing and future university initiatives. The project will: • Analyze the clean and soiled staging areas of the loading dock • Add additional soiled dock doors • Add one new cart washer, and replace or upgrade two existing washers • Analyze the pneumatic trash and linen systems to determine short term fix and long-term planning • Analyze the Kanban staging area to determine growth opportunities • Assess the Mechanical and Exhaust systems for temperature and smell issues • Ensure that safety and security needs are met.
