Columbia Middle School Swimming Pool Infrastructure Project

To provide professional services from licensed engineering or architecture firms with extensive background in aquatic for design and preparation of bid documents and construction support for the Columbia Middle School Swimming Pool Infrastructure project. The scope of work generally includes evaluation of existing conditions, design development, bid documents, and bidding/construction support for Public Works competitive bidding. Ancillary work includes: construction cost estimating, schedule monitoring, preparation of reports and recommendations, permitting, and project management. This project will replace the swimming pool boiler, upgrade the filtration and electrical system, replaster the surge pit, and renovate the acid neutralizing system, including any ancillary work to support these improvements at Columbia Middle School. The intent is to reduce the maintenance cost and labor, extend the lifecycle of the facility, and better meet applicable codes and standards so the pool can operate in a safe and healthy manner. The outdoor swimming pool is approximately 75-feet long and 44-feet wide with pool water depths ranging from 3 to 10 feet.
