Description | As of January 2023, project will be awarded sometime after the end of this month. Construction start is unknown at this time, although probably 1 to 2 months after award. For Shasta County Administration Center Support Services Reflooring Project SHASTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, will receive bids for the furnishing of all labor, materials, transportation, and services necessary for the completion of: Shasta County Administration Center Support Services Reflooring Project In general, the project consists of flooring replacement for the Support Services Office located on the third floor of the Shasta County Administration Building located at 1450 Court Street, Redding, CA 96001. The work includes removing and disposing of the existing flooring and installing new commercial flooring as shown in the project drawings. All portions of Contractor's work shall be performed on weekends. This is an estimate only and bidders should not rely upon this figure when preparing or submitting their bids. 1.4 REQUIRED CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE: At the time this contract is bid, the Contractor shall possess a California "C-15" Flooring and Floor Covering contractor's license which is current and valid at the time of the bid and for the duration of the Work. Contractor and subcontractors shall possess the appropriate license for the work of their respective trades. In accordance with California Labor Code Section 1771.1, a contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. It is not a violation of this section for an unregistered contractor to submit a bid that is authorized by Section 7029.1 of the Business and Professions Code or by Section 10164 or 20103.5 of the Public Contract Code, provided the contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded. As noted above, all contractors and subcontractors must be registered with DIR. By requesting the DIR registration numbers of all subcontractors, bidders are hereby put on notice that if they list a subcontractor without a DIR registration number at the time of bid opening, County, in its sole discretion, may find the failure to do so intentional and find the bid non-responsive.
