FY 2020 Water Main Improvements

The project consists of approximately 2,800 LF of 6-inch PVC, and 50 LF of 8-inch PVC installed by open cut construction; and 8,600 LF of 6-inch HDPE and 2,000 LF of 8-inch HDPE installed by directional drill. New fire hydrants and isolation valves are to be provided approximately every 500 feet and every 1,000 feet respectively as well as disinfection sample points per FDEP regulations. Driveway and roadway repair, including concrete, asphalt, dirt, and gravel replacement in kind will be required at all open cut areas. The project will be in four locations located in unincorporated Volusia County and will provide potable water services to various parcels in the following locations: Part A – Carlis Road Improvements – New York Avenue (SR 44), Carlis Road, and Fair Street. Part B – Old New York Avenue Improvements – Ridgewook Avenue, Old New York Avenue, and Euclid Avenue. Part C – DeLand Highlands Phase 1 Improvements – Marsh Road, Pine Avenue, Spruce Street, Palmetto Avenue, Palm Avenue, Orange Street, Oak Avenue, and Magnolia Avenue. Part D – State Road 44 Utilities Relocation – New York Avenue (SR 44)
