| Description | The repair of 169,622 square feet of surface asphalt at 44 different areas throughout the UH Main Campus and the seal coat and stripe of lots 8A and 21A. All repair areas are located at UH Main parking lots as identified in the following summary and aerial images. 1. Asphalt Surface Repair a. Saw-Cut break and export failed asphalt. If potholes exist within asphalt repair areas, remove the underlying base to 12" beyond the pothole, install syntax geogrid SBX11 (type 1) or approved equal on sub grade and place crushed concrete to existing grade. b. Prime sub-base with TXDOT Item 300 Grade SS1 prior to paving c. Machine lay 2" of TXDOT Item 340 Type D Hot-mix asphalt use Tensar Glasgrid item no GG8850 or approved equal reinforcement geogrid fabric for 5 foot wide over cracks through the repairs. 2. Sealcoat (Lots 8A and 21A only) a. Clean parking lot area of all dirt and debris and export b. Prime all oil spots prior to sealcoat application c. Sealcoat parking lot area with heavy-duty Coal Tar Star Sealer with 2lbs of sand per gallon, specified; two (2) coat application. 3. Striping a. Stripe impacted parking lot area with highway marking paint, including all handicap areas, accessible route lanes parking aisle end caps, crosswalks, etc. Match preexisting lot striping pattern layout. b. No Parking Zones, Fire Lanes, Parking Aisle End-Cap (NPZ's) shall be painted red. | ||||
