| Description | With the ongoing drought in the southwest region of the United States and the Colorado River situation, the City of Peoria (City) is anticipating significant reductions to their Central Arizona Project (CAP) water supply in the near future. Peoria's water system, particularly north of Bell Road, is heavily dependent on receiving water from the CAP and any reductions could have significant impact on development in north Peoria. Peoria Water Services is actively working to establish water system redundancy for existing and future development utilizing groundwater recovery wells in the event water is not available from the CAP system.
