Description

Bids shall include labor, materials, tools, equipment, and services for completion of the entire Project under a single fixed-price General Contract, between the Owner and the General Contractor. All HVAC contractors submitting a bid under a Prime contractors bid submission, are hereby advised that they must submit a Qualification Statement for this project. This must be submitted on AIA Document A305, Contractors Qualification Statement or on a separate letterhead following the format of the AIA A305 along with the additional information as requested in Project Manual Document 001153. A list of the Qualified HVAC contractors will be issued to the plan holders via addenda by November 22nd, 2022. Every bid shall consist of two (2) fully completed copies of the Bid Form Documents and shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee consisting of bid bond, certified check or cashiers check made payable to the VILLAGE OF MORTON, in amount of five percent of total bid amount. Failure of bidder to submit an acceptable bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in amount to cover proposals bid upon is cause for rejection of his bid. Successful bidder will be required to provide Surety Performance Bond and separate Labor and Material Payment bond, each in amount equal to 100% of contract price, within 10 days after prescribed forms are presented for signature. Surety on bonds shall be a duly authorized company acceptable to Owner. No bid shall be withdrawn for 60 days after opening of bids without consent of Owner. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to accept or reject any or all bids when in the opinion of the Owner, such action will service the best interest of the Owner. Bids submitted, from Firms whose name does not appear on the Log, shall not be opened. The Architect and the Owner will not respond to questions orally regarding the Project outside of the Pre-Bid Meeting. All requests for clarifications or interpretations outside of the Pre-Bid Meeting shall be made in writing and will be answered by Addendum when appropriate. It is anticipated the Village of Morton will award the Project at their regular December board meeting, on Monday, December 19th, 2022.
