Description | The objective of this ITB is to secure the services of an experienced and reliable contractor for removing existing windows and doors and installing new impact windows and doors at 135 W 53nd Street, Hialeah, FL 33012. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes and shall bear on the face, thereof, the bid number and the complete name and address of the bidder. Bids are to be based strictly upon contract documents and instructions herein with no deviations or alternates being considered at bid time, other than those specific requests on the proposal sheets. The City's schedule for this Solicitation is as follows: (The City reserves the right to delay or modify scheduled dates and will notify Bidders of all changes in scheduled dates.) The City of Hialeah reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive any informality in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City of Hialeah for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders, prior to awarding of the contract. The City of Hialeah reserves the right to accept or reject bids on each item separately or as a whole. Potential Bidders and their agents and employees shall not contact the Mayor, any member of the City Council, or any member of the City staff, except the Purchasing Manager, to discuss this Solicitation. Imposition of a cone of silence on this Invitation to Bid shall not preclude purchasing staff from obtaining industry comment or performing market research provided all communications related thereto with a potential offeror, service provider, Bidder, lobbyist, or consultant are in writing or are made at a duly noticed public meeting. The City of Hialeah is seeking the services of a qualified contractor to provide all the labor, materials, tools, equipment, vehicles, travel, licenses, insurances, permits, and incidentals to remove and install new impact resistant windows and doors at 135 W 52 nd St. (listed in Appendix "C" - Bid Cost Proposal section of this document) in accordance with the terms, conditions, and the summary of work of this bid. An award under this ITB will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. No compensation will accrue, be, owed, or be paid to the Successful Bidder unless a purchase order has been issued and the work has been completed and accepted by the City. Installation: All windows and doors to be installed are from Eco Window Systems, Clear SB70(Low-E), Aluminum frame with a Bronze finish. Remove existing windows and glass doors and prepare/adjust openings for new impact-rated windows and doors. Removal of existing wood bucks. Supply and install new wood bucks for windows and glass doors. Supply and install all impact-rated windows and glass doors including caulking, fasteners, screens, and all other related accessories. All windows are to be impact resistant and must have an approved/current Miami Dade County NOA. All glass doors are to be impact resistant and must have an approved/current Miami Dade County NOA. Contractor must use care when removing the windows to avoid damaging the existing window sills, stucco and drywall. If any materials are damaged, it will be the responsibility of the contractor to replace them. Contractor will be responsible for interior and exterior patching around all windows and doors after installation and must leave all openings ready for paint. Safety Equipment as per OSHA standards. All equipment necessary to perform work. Cutting and Patching. Clean up and debris removal on a daily basis. |
