Description | As of March 17th, 2023, project has not been awarded yet. it is expected to be awarded inthe next couple of weeks. Solicitation - 3434-A SCO-21-24041-01A, JO 4251 Bids will be received for a Single Prime contract. All proposals shall be lump sum. The meeting is also to identify preferred brand alternates and their performance standards that the owner will consider for approval on this project. Questions must be submitted to the Engineer at dmalinauskas@thewootencompany.com before 2 PM on Monday, November 21, 2021. Responses will be provided via addendum before 5 PM on Tuesday, November 22, 2021. The Contractor shall have five years practical experience and successful history in the application of specified products in similar projects. Contractor shall substantiate this requirement by furnishing a list of references and job completions. Applicator must successfully demonstrate to the product manufacturer the ability to apply the material correctly and within the confines of the specifications. The Contractor must provide a letter from the manufacture stating their acceptance of the Contactor for this project to apply these products. The Contractor shall possess the applicable license to perform the work as herein described and as specified by local, state and federal laws. Copies of the Contractor's licenses shall be provided. General contractors are notified that Chapter 87, Article 1, General Statutes of North Carolina, will be observed in receiving and awarding general contracts. General contractors submitting bids on this project must have license classification for General Contractor (set forth the license classification required by the NC General Contractors Licensing Board under G.S. 87-1) All contractors are hereby notified that they must have proper license as required under the North Carolina State laws governing their respective trades. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cash deposit or a certified check drawn on some bank or trust company, insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, of an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal, or in lieu thereof a bidder may offer a bid bond of five percent (5%) of the bid executed by a surety company licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond. Said deposit shall be retained by the owner as liquidated damages in event of failure of the successful bidder to execute the contract within ten days after the award or to give satisfactory surety as required by law.
