Description | Sealed bids are requested for a single prime HVAC Construction Contract. This is a prevailing wage project. The Cambria County Commissioners reserve the right to waive irregularities or minor informalities in the Bids, and to reject any or all Bids.The work consists of the remove and replace the existing air handling units serving the 1st and 2nd floors, remove and replace roof top air handling unit serving the 3rd floor, rebuild boiler, and new controls for all new equipment. The entire Project and all information shown on the Contract Documents is being bid under one Mechanical Contract. This contract includes all trades (i.e. HVAC, Plumbing, General, Electrical, Automatic Temperature Controls, etc.). Any reference to separate contractors (HC, PC, GC, EC, ATC, etc.) that may appear in the Contract Documents are usual references to the trade involved is a subcontractor to the Mechanical Contractor. Any reference to Contractor, HVAC Contractor, Heating Contractor, Plumbing Contractor, Electrical Contractor, ATC Contractor or General Contractor throughout the Contract Documents shall mean the Mechanical Contractor. The HVAC Contractor shall remove the existing HVAC equipment and systems as indicated in the contract documents. This shall include but not be limited to: boiler components, indoor air handling units, packaged rooftop unit, ductwork, chilled water and hot water piping, hot water pumps, chilled water pumps, valves, hangers, insulation, controls, etc. Demolition plans have been provided to give the Contractor the general scope of demolition work required. The Contractor shall visit the site to better understand the work involved. Any discrepancies shall be brought to the attention of the Engineer before proceeding with the work. |
