Furnishing All Plant, Labor, Material, and Performing All Work Required to Construct Elm Street & Byrum Road Improvements Major Requirements Associated With This Project Are: 1. Mobilization/demobilization 2. Install 1,460 Lf of Storm Drain Pipe 3. Install 1,268 Cy of Sub-base for Roadway 4. Asphalt Street Milling 11,360 Sy 5. 2" Asphalt Overlay 11,360 Sy 6. 4" Asphalt Roadway 2,892 Sy 7. Grading and Ditch Improvements 8. Driveway Aprons 9. 20 Drainage Boxes 10. Stormwater Controls 11. Traffic Control/safety Systems Contractor's Bid Shall Be Accompanied by a Cashier's or Certified Check Upon a National or State Bank in an Amount Not Less Than Five (5) Percent of the Total Maximum Bid Price, Payable Without Recourse to the City of Blytheville, Arkansas, or a Bid Bond in the Same Amount From a Reliable Surety Company, as a Guarantee That the Bidder Will Enter Into a Contract and Execute Performance and Payment Bonds Within Ten (10) Days After Notice of Award of Contract. The Notice of Award of Contract Shall Be Given by the Owner Within Sixty (60) Calendar Days Following the Opening of Bids. The Successful Bidder Must Furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond Upon the Forms Provided Each in the Amount of One Hundred (100) Percent of the Contract Price From an Approved Surety Company Holding a Permit From the State of Arkansas to Act as Surety, or Other Surety or Sureties Acceptable to City of Blytheville, Arkansas. Attention of Bidders Is Particularly Called to the Requirement as to Conditions of Employment to Be Observed and Minimum Wages to Be Paid Under the Contract as Incorporated in These Specifications. Bidders Are Cautioned That Bids for This Project Are Subject to Compliance With Arkansas Law for Construction of Public Works as Found in Arkansas Code Annotated 22-9-101, Etc. The Bidder Shall Thoroughly Acquaint Himself and Comply With the Provisions of These Acts. Bidders Are Advised That Arkansas State Contractor Licensing Law Applies to This Project.
