Description | Madison County Highway Office Building and Highway Garage along with the Law Enforcement Building are located within the County Complex in Wampsville. The Madison County Highway Office Building and Garage are located at 139 North Court Street, Wampsville NY, Buildings 8 & 9. The Law Enforcement Building, which is located directly across the street from the Highway Garage will receive an addition to the front of the existing building. The Sheriff’s Law Enforcement Building is located at 148 North Court Street, Wampsville NY, Building 10. Highway Offices & Garage: The existing men’s restroom and locker room will be renovated and improved to code standards. There will be a women’s restroom and locker room added to the existing space, which most likely will require space from existing cafeteria. A new cafeteria will be in the existing building and a part of the new addition. The existing staff offices will be enlarged and a part of the new addition. The new addition will need to accommodate 2500 square feet of open space for our Board of Elections Department voting machines to be stored with charging station outlets. The Highway Department Administration and Engineers will require approx. 3000 square feet in the new addition. The balance of the addition will provide approx. 2500 square feet for a staff large conference/training room. The east exterior elevation of the addition that faces North Court Street will have a loading dock. The project will conclude with the removal of the existing Highway Administration Offices. Once the existing Office Building is removed the new loading dock access asphalt/ parking lot can be completed. Law Enforcement Building: Which is located directly across the street from the Highway Garage will receive an addition to the front of the existing building. The new addition will provide new space for the existing locker room equipment presently used. New restrooms will be in each locker room with showers. Detention room approximately 120 sq. feet for detention bed, shower, toilet. The existing public entrance will be reconfigured and updated with a security glass wall assembly. Addition may require redevelopment of the existing septic system. We will request a siding of the building be bid as an Alternate. |
