Description | The items to be procured consist of: Cleaning sediment from water storage tanks Cleaning sediment from water storage tanks. All sediment collected in the tank shall be removed from the site and disposed of by the Contractor in accordance with any State and Federal requirements. This work shall consist of furnishing and installing compartmented tank container through which sediment-laden water is pumped to trap and retain the sediment. The storage tanks must be online during the sediment removal. The contractor must provide robotic technology to remove the sediment from tanks. Tank Access: The contractor must coordinate with the construction Manager to access to the storage tanks. Equipment: Before using any equipment in water storage tank, the contractor must ensure that it has been only used for potable water and that it has been properly disinfected. Complete instructions for filing Bids are included in the Instructions to Bidders. After review of the factors set forth in the Instructions to Bidders, the City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to make an award, or to decline to make an award. Contact the Office of the Director of Purchasing, at 203-574-6748 for further information In evaluating Bids, the City of Waterbury ("the CITY") will consider the qualifications of only those Bidders whose Bids, among other factors, are in compliance with the requirements set forth elsewhere in the Bid Documents. The City reserves the right to reject any Bid based upon Bidder's prior history with the City or with any other party that demonstrates, without limitation, failure to perform or unsatisfactory performance in accordance with the terms of one or more contracts or purchase orders or significant failure(s) to meet contractual obligations. Question Deadline 01/24/2024 at 2:00 PM ET. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bid Documents must be submitted electronically. The CITY will issue written clarifications or interpretations by Addenda electronically not later than January 26, 2024, 2:00PM. Only information issued by such City written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other clarifications or interpretations will not be binding and will be without legal effect. Any Bid received after the time and date specified as the time for the CITY's opening of Bids shall not be considered. Once bids are opened by the CITY, no Bidder may withdraw its Bid for a period of ninety (90) days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays, after the actual date of the CITY's opening of the Bids. BIDDER agrees and covenants that the purchase order time shall commence upon issuance and terminate on 6/30/2024 unless the purchase order provides otherwise. |
