Autoclave Replacement Bldg. 17 Roybal Campus

Several Autoclaves in Atlanta’s CDC Building 17, Roybal Campus are having performance issues. Autoclave Units in question were installed when the building was first constructed, around 2001, so they are reaching their life expectancies for use. The units are often breaking down and requiring parts that are difficult to obtain thus making repair periods longer than normal requiring the labs to modify their procedures and processes on a regular basis. As well, the currently installed controls are outdated. Some of the units do not have all the proper cycles available that are now required as well as a lack of printer capabilities on both the clean and dirty sides of the units. Proposed period of performance will be 360 days. Units installations are anticipated to be phased so as to keep the labs operational.
