| Description | Traffic signal cable shall consist of twelve (12) individually insulated No. 14 AWG class ‘B’ stranded un-coated soft copper conductors. The cable insulation shall be rated at 600 volts at 90° C maximum continuous conductor temperature in wet or dry locations. Conductors shall be insulated with flame-retardant cross-linked polyethylene insulation and be PVC jacketed overall. The cable shall be approved for installation in cable trays in accordance with Article 340 of the National Electric Code and for use in Class 1 remote control and signaling circuits per Article 725-11(b) of the National Electric Code. Cable shall be approved for installation in open air, in ducts or conduits, in tray or trough, and be suitable for direct burial. The cable shall be Draka Cableteq, Okonite, Prysmian, or Rockbestos-Surprenant Type TC Tray Cable meeting the identified standards and requirements. |
