Description | The project includes, but is not limited to: Replace the current pool heat boilers with one high efficiency boiler. Perform upgrades to the current solar loop heating system. Prevailing Wage Rates and the Metro Parks Tacoma Apprenticeship Training Program requirements will apply. 290 apprentice hours are estimated for this project. The base bid estimate range is $300,000 - $350,000. Time of completion is 120 calendar days. Metro Parks Tacoma encourages an MWBE goal of eight percent (8%) on a Public Works PROJECT ESTIMATED AT $20,000.00 OR MORE including Subcontractors: The Washington State Office of Minority and Women's Business Enterprises (OMWBE) certifies firms that are owned and controlled by minorities or women, and can provide information regarding the certification process. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check for 5% of the total maximum amount of the bid, made payable to the Owner, or a bid bond in the form furnished by the Owner for 5% of the total maximum amount of the bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will promptly execute a valid contract with the Owner in accordance with the bidding documents. If a bid bond is used, the 5% may be shown in dollars and cents or the form may be filled in by inserting therein, in lieu of dollars of cents, "5% of the amount of the accompany proposal." Bonds must be satisfactory to the Owner. The Owner shall have the right to reject any or all bids or any items of the bid and in particular to reject a bid not accompanied by any required bid security or data required by the bidding documents or bid in any way incomplete or irregular. Any or all bids may be rejected for good cause. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. |
