2022-2026 Traffic Signal Maintenance

The proposed Work is generally described follows: servicing and maintaining traffic signal and flashing beacon equipment at various intersections in the City of Elgin and all other incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project. This item shall include maintenance of all traffic signal equipment at each intersection including emergency vehicle preemption equipment, controllers, signal heads, beacons, poles, mast arms, pedestrian signals, vehicle detection equipment, ethernet data telemetry equipment, telephone service installations, radio, radio antenna and coaxial cable, copper and fiber optic communication cables, and conduits to adjacent intersections. This work may include the conversion of incandescent lamps to LED modules at various intersections. This work will include locating underground traffic signal-related facilities including intersection equipment and telemetry interconnect facilities including both copper and fiber optic cables in response to JULIE locate requests. These locate requests shall be completed under the normal terms of JULIE, plus if any potential conflicts are revealed during the locate process; those conflicts are to be documented using digital still photography. The maintenance period is from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2026.
