Description The purpose of this Bid Solicitation is to solicit Quotes for a qualified Vendor that is capable of maintaining and installing Weigh in Motion (WIM) systems and Traffic Volume Systems (TVS) in accordance with the standards set forth in this Bid Solicitation. Furthermore, the Vendor shall also perform desired data collection as referenced in the Vehicle Classification Monitoring and Truck Weight Monitoring chapters of the Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA) Traffic Monitoring Guide (TMG) (Attachment 2). The Vendor shall have sufficient knowledge of the traffic data collection industry and operational flexibility to research and test new technologies when approved by NJDOT, and shall work towards implementing those technologies that will improve NJDOT’s traffic collection program.
